About InterviewPad

InterviewPad is a collaborative technical-interview platform built and operated by lastnode, inc. It exists to fix a small, stubborn problem: the person running a technical interview is also expected to be its stenographer, and both jobs suffer for it.

The product is a reusable interview pad. You create it once, and its link is permanent — paste it into every calendar invite rather than minting a new room per candidate. Each interview is a session on that pad: a shared editor where JavaScript, TypeScript and Python really execute against test cases, a system-design whiteboard for architecture rounds, and a question bank with a LeetCode importer. Candidates join by link, as a guest or anonymously, with no account.

What makes it different

Sessions on paid plans record both sides of the conversation — the interviewer’s microphone and the video call’s audio, as separate tracks — and produce a transcript with word-level timestamps, an AI-written summary and a scorecard. Everything the product claims is held to one rule: nothing is ever invented. Languages that don’t execute are labelled syntax-only rather than showing fabricated test results; a session with no transcript shows a pending state, never a placeholder summary; and recording, transcription and integrity monitoring are disclosed to candidates in the lobby before they join — joining is the consent, and the disclosure changes honestly when a session captures nothing.

Pricing philosophy

Plans are metered on interview sessions, never on seats — bring your whole hiring loop. A session only counts when someone besides the host actually joins and it runs past five minutes, so misclicks are never billed. See pricing for the tiers.
