Terms of service

These terms govern your use of InterviewPad, operated by lastnode, inc. By creating an account or joining an interview, you agree to them.

The service

InterviewPad provides collaborative interview pads: a shared code editor, question bank, optional audio recording with transcription, and — on paid plans — AI-generated summaries and scorecards.

Accounts

Interviewers need an account and are responsible for what happens under it. Candidates join by link without an account; by joining after the lobby disclosure they consent to the session terms shown there.

Plans and billing

The free plan includes a monthly allowance of interview sessions; Pro raises the limits and adds features, as described on the pricing page. Pro is billed monthly through Stripe. You can cancel any time; Pro remains active until the end of the paid period, and allowances may change with notice.

Your content and your responsibilities

Interview content — code, notes, recordings, transcripts — belongs to you. You grant us the licence needed to store, process, and display it to you and your team, and nothing more. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to your interviews, in particular recording-consent laws in your and your candidates’ jurisdictions. InterviewPad enforces its own consent step, but it is not legal advice and does not replace your obligations.

AI output

Summaries, scorecards, and transcripts are assistive artefacts. They can be incomplete or wrong, and the product marks partial data rather than papering over it. Hiring decisions are yours: do not treat AI output as the sole basis for one.

Acceptable use

Do not use InterviewPad to record anyone without the disclosure and consent the product requires, to probe or disrupt the service, to infringe others’ rights, or to violate applicable law — including employment and anti-discrimination law.

Availability and warranty

We aim to keep the service reliable but provide it “as is”, without warranties of uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular purpose. Recordings on the free plan are deleted on a retention schedule stated in the privacy policy.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for claims arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You can stop using the service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Changes and contact

If these terms change materially, the date above changes and account holders are notified by email. Questions: support@interviewpad.ai.
